OK, I've now merged the changes into the 'main'
projecthorus/radiosonde_auto_rx testing branch.
To use this branch you need to (within radiosonde_auto_rx) run: git
checkout testing git pull
and then do the usual update steps (rebuild the binaries with
./build.sh, etc).
The launches from Pt Wakefield will be on 400.2, 402.2, and
(hopefully not for much longer) 404.2. The message has been passed on
that 404.2 is not a good place to transmit, if they continue to
transmit there I'll be calling the Defence Spectrum Office. I
suggested 401.2 MHz instead.
Apparently tomorrow will be the last set of launches for a few weeks.
Predictions have them landing out near Stonefield.

If you want to live on the haemmoraging edge, you can try running
from the testing branch of my own auto rx

Just be aware that my fork breaks regularly! Should be OK today
though...

Looks like this mornings sonde is unencrypted!
However, it is running on 404.2 MHz, which is way out of band. Might
have to talk to the Defence Spectrum Office...
I've got a very very beta decoder running up at the RWN site
(AREG_AUTO_RX) however that site has a brick wall filter in front of
it, so it can't see the 402.2 MHz sonde. The next one should be on
400.2 or 402.2 MHz, so it should see that.
I'll get some updates to enable decoding of the SGMs pushed into the
testing branch when I get home tonight.

I only detected these 4 yesterday , still encrypted as you said,
pity , they should have been landing near Stonefield

Looks like they haven't turned off the encryption setting. From some
images of the manual sent to me, it looks like the default is
Encryption enabled, so they may have to manually de-select it for
every launch.

OK, I've made a page with predictions for Pt
Wakefield: https://rfhead.net/sondes/ptwakefield/ [8]
This will show the next 5 days of predictions, with hourly
predictions each day from 8AM to 2PM (might extend that). I'm still
running predictions for weekends, so check the dates on each
prediction carefully. This is a fairly complex prediction scenario, so
I'm still working out a few bugs. We'll see how it goes over the next
few runs.
 I'm assuming a 5m/s ascent rate, 23km burst, and 6m/s descent rate.
I'll update that once I get more information on launch parameters.

Looking at the predictions for monday, landings somewhwere between
eudunda, morgan and blanchetown seem likely; does that sound right?

  Hi all,
I've just got off the phone with the leader of the group launching
sondes from Pt Wakefield, and can confirm that there will be RS41-SGM
launches from Pt Wakefield this upcoming week, starting morning
Monday. Launches will be every hour, with 6-8 launches per day. I've
suggested they try and start on 402 MHz, and work up in 100 kHz steps
with each launch, avoiding 402.5 MHz.
I'll work on getting a separate predictor running or Pt Wakefield, so
we get some idea of where they will land. They are targeting 20-25km
burst altitude, and are interested in recovering a few radiosondes to
re-confirm the sensors are OK (noting that they are often damaged on
landing).
I've also been offered a sample of a RS41-SGM to help get a decoder
going! Stay tuned for more updates to auto_rx over the next few weeks
as we get this all working...
