By some miracle it managed to miss a tall stand of pines immediately upwind
of the landing site.

The offset attenuator pcb's should arrive soon; the
BNC->cap->diode->cap->BNC signal path will accomodate through hole or SMD
components, fwiw, based on suggestions by VK5QI.

I also have a 3 stage switched attenuator pcb design which just arrived
which i might put on a yagi for battery-less low res DF.
